2020 Summer of Learning Digital State Public Education Campaigns Toolkit

For too long, it has been the state legislatures that have the power to enact or repeal preemption laws and  control policymaking and democratic participation. To increase awareness of the direct effects of state preemption laws on people's lives and communities, and to make voters aware of the state legislative races that are also included on the 2020 ballot, LSSC has partnered with The Campaign Workshop to create an updated message-tested digital advertising toolkit for local partners.

Work from 2018 with The Campaign Workshop

LSSC provided grants for two digital ad campaigns in fall 2018 based on the polling in Minnesota and Missouri designed to educate the public about their legislature and state interference. The state poll results are reflected in this digital ad prepared by the Campaign Workshop for the coalition led by TakeAction Minnesota (TAMN) and this ad prepared by Missouri Jobs with Justice.
